Meet the friendly staff at Jerrabomberra Veterinary Hospital!
Tim graduated from the University of Qld in 2006 and worked in Brisbane and London before moving to Canberra in 2016. He has 2 trim toy poodles and 1 not-so-trim cat with a penchant for 5am breakfast meows. Tim enjoys outdoor sport mainly but did win $20 for beating a chess grand master while the master was busy thrashing 29 others.
Dr. Alison is one of the partners here at Queanbeyan Veterinary Hospital. She began her career in mixed animal practice in Gerringong before moving to England. She worked there in small animal practice for four years and also managed to see some of the world during this time.
After another short stint at the coast, she moved to Canberra in 2004. Since this time she has done further study in radiography, ultrasonography, and management of radioactive substances allowing the use of radioactive iodine to treat cats with hyperthyroidism.
Alison has two boys (Jack and Hugh) to keep her busy when not at work. Her main interests outside of work and family are sport, cooking and traveling.
Lou graduated from Sydney University in 2000 and started working on the NSW-Victoria border near the Snowy Mountains. She moved to Bowral in the Southern Highlands for 6 years, interspersed with a 1yr internship in small animal surgery in Sydney and 18mths of travelling and locum work in the UK. Still restless, Lou completed more locum work around Australia before moving to our sister practice Kippax Veterinary Hospital where she has worked since July 2009. In January 2014, Lou transferred to us here at Queanbeyan Vet Hospital and is now a partner in Queanbeyan Vet Hospital and Jerrabomberra Vet Hospital. Lou lives with her husband Greg and and their two daughters. When not working, Lou can be found relaxing with friends and family, visiting Greg’s farm in western NSW, or training for triathlons.
Molly graduated from Charles Sturt University in 2022, before beginning her career in Canberra and then starting with us at QVH in mid 2023. Molly grew up on the Monaro, so although she now works primarily with small animals, she does have a soft spot for largies- and is often found on her parent's and grandparent's properties in Cooma on the weekends. Molly has an interest in exotic medicine (especially rats!) and small animal surgery. She is also Fear Free and Stress-Free Pets certified, meaning she is more than happy to help your more anxious pets.
Born and raised in Carwoola, her passion for animals blossomed through the years spent in her family home. Her accomplishments consist of Certificate II in Animal Studies, Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, Diploma in Veterinary Nursing and undertaking her Bachelors in Veterinary Technology.
Brooklyn has travelled to South Africa to undergo a surgical and medical program with wild animals including lions, tigers and elephants.
In 2024, Brooklyn is attending the 30th VNCA Conference to perform a lecture on 'Nursing Kidney Cats in Hospital'.
In her spare time, Brooklyn likes to study and continue learning more for her career, spend time with her Malamute 'Alaska' and work at the emergency centres across Canberra.
From a very young age, Shae's deep love and passion towards animals has driven her to pursue a career dedicated to animal health, animal welfare and interests in animal nutrition and anatomy. Shae has graduated with her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through CIT in 2025. She seeks any opportunity to enhance her knowledge and ensure patients receive the best standard of care possible, having a special interest in Fear Free and Nutrition. In her spare time, Shae enjoys learning more about veterinary nursing and animal nutrition, drawing and helping fix and modify cars. In the future she aspires to be part of a South African surgical and medical program and to assist in charity work to communities in need for their pets.
Sophie has grown up as a Canberra local. Sophie has completed her Certificate II in Animal Studies and is currently studying for her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
